PI99395: HANGING SL=2 TRANSACTIONS WHEN SESSION MESSAGE LIMIT PARAMETER IS ACTIVE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• CM=1 SL=2 transactions are hanging when the session message
  limit is reached.  This was caused by the session count being
  incremented twice for each SL=2 transaction and the limit
  being reached with the persistent session cancelled after the
  transaction is sent but before the commit is sent.

     limit is reached.
  
  2. The session count was being incremented twice for each SL=2
     transaction, and the limit might be reached and the
     persistent session cancelled after the transaction is sent
     but before the commit is sent.
  

Problem conclusion

• The session count will only be incremented on the commit.
