Error description
IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14.1.1 wrongly asks to select a destination container when updating a Cobol file opened from the Project Explorer view when the file is defined as 'Read-only'. Steps to reproduce: - From the Project Explorer view set properties>Attributes for the .cbl file to 'Read-only' - Open the .cbl file using COBOL Editor - Attempt to update it, a popup asks to lock the file as the file is in 'Read-Only' - Select 'Don't lock file' - Save the changes by CTL+S, a popup will ask to select the destination container before saving the file. Remark : this does not happen at IDz level 14.0.0.6
Local fix
Problem summary
IDZ ASKS TO SELECT A DESTINATION CONTAINER WHEN UPDATING A FILE THAT WAS 'READ-ONLY' During editing if a local project file is read- only, the advanced editors, PL1 and COBOL, prompt a user whether the files should be made writeable. If the file is made writeable IDz should not prompt for a new location if 'save' is done. IDz opens a 'save as' dialog if the save it attempted. Previous versions would complete the save to the original file location.
Problem conclusion
A change was made to perform the save to the original file location if a local file is edited and made writable.
Temporary fix
