Error description

  • This APAR will include fixes for the following problems:

    1. The maximum number of extents per OSAM data set has increased
to 120 in IMS V14 or later. FF DB Sensor stores incorrect
sensor data for OSAM extents in the IMS Tools KB Sensor Data
       repository.
    2. FF DB Sensor issues an unclear error message BBE1414E for
       HALDB disabled partition.
    3. FF DB Sensor Printing utility gets ABENDS013 when a data set
does not have BLKSIZE=80 in the BBESPRIN DD statement.

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR fixes FF DB Sensor to resolve the following problems:

    - The maximum number of extents per OSAM data set has increased
from 60 to 120 in IMS V14 or later. However, DB Sensor still
used 60 as the OSAM maximum extents. By this APAR, FF DB
Sensor can store correct sensor data for OSAM extents in the
IMS Tools KB Sensor Data repository

    - When a HALDB partition had been deleted in the RECON data set,
DB Sensor issued a message BBE1414E. However, the text of the
message was not clear. By this APAR, the text of the message
is changed to tell clearly the partition is delete or disabled

    - When a HALDB partition had been disabled, FF DB Sensor should
skip the partition. However, FF DB Sensor processed the
partition erronously. As the result, FF DB Sensor could cause
various unexpected error, for instance, issuing BBE3205E and
return code 8 in case of the partition data set had been
deleted. By this APAR, FF DB Sensor is changed to skip
correctly the disabled partition with issuing the message
      BBE1429E.

    - FF DB Sensor Printing utility got ABENDS013 when the BBESPRIN
data set does not have BLKSIZE=80. By this APAR, FF DB Sensor
Printing utility is changed to open the data set correctly
when the block size of the data set is a multiple of 80.
