  • Client using Rational Business Developer v7.1.0.2
VisalAge Generator compatibility issue:  When an overlength
character variable is assigned to a numeric variable, a numeric
overflow exception is raised in EGL.  This is different to the
behavior in VAGen, which performs the MOVE, truncating leading
digits, without raising a numeric overflow error.

Local fix

Problem summary


    

  • A move from character to zoned decimal was performing a
numeric overflow check, whereas in VAG it was doing a
truncated move.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Software updated. Fixtest EGLFixtest200812081453 is
available for 7102 systems.
