Error description
Running PE Statistics report, get unusuall incorrect values for SQL DML. For example: STATISTICS TRACE LAYOUT(LONG) DB2 PERFORMANCE EXPERT (V2) STATISTICS TRACE - LONG ---- HIGHLIGHTS ------------------------------------------- INTERVAL START: 07/13/08 03:30:02.81 INTERVAL END : 07/13/08 03:45:03.56 INTERVAL ELAPSED: 15:00.747944 SQL DML QUANTITY /SECOND /THREAD /COMMIT ---------------------- -------- ------- ------- ------- SELECT 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 INSERT 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 UPDATE 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 DELETE 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 PREPARE 4294967K 4768.2K 226.1M 24.3M DESCRIBE 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 DESCRIBE TABLE 0 0.00 0.00 0.00 OPEN 4294967K 4768.2K 226.1M 24.3M CLOSE 4294967K 4768.2K 226.1M 24.3M FETCH 4294967K 4768.2K 226.1M 24.3M TOTAL 17180M 19.1M 904.2M 97.1M The analysis of the data showed that the problem is caused by trace records > 32K due to the usage of a high number of Buffer pools and Group Buffer Pools. Changed code to work with more storage - this helped for Buffer Pool sections. This APAR will address this so that correct values are shown.
