This fix pack is a cumulative fix release and addresses APARs and internally found issues since the release of OMNIbus 7.4.0 fix pack 17
Download Description
Notice: IBM will withdraw support for the selected Netcool product versions licensed under the IBM International Program License Agreement.
The following defect solutions are included in this release:
7.4.0-TIV-NCOMNIbus-FP0018
--------------------------
IJ05855
Support for conversions of time (UTC) fields was added.
For example, for a specific time field with a value such as '0' a
conversion text such as 'Unknown' or 'Not Set' could be defined
through the alerts.conversions table. Conversions for time/UTC fields
are now also supported by the Administrator GUI.
Previously, if the value for a UTC date/time field in the
ObjectServer was zero, Omnibus used to convert it to Epoch Time -
01/01/1970. In the native Event list GUI, on both Windows and
UNIX, the default behaviour is now for a time field with the
value of zero to be displayed as a blank field.
This enhancement was implemented in response to enhancement
requests 12253, 18888, 18915, 65835 and 97525.
IJ06114
TLSv1.2 is now enabled irrespective of FIPS mode for all Java
clients. Previous APAR IJ01536 did the same for all native
servers and clients.
IJ06845
If the primary probe was unable to contact the secondary probe in P2P
heartbeat mode, then the primary probe would log approximately
10 related messages per second. This activity is now reduced to
one connection attempt and one message per second.
IJ08930
If the data to be sent through the nco_probeeventfactory script
on UNIX contained multiple = characters then the script would use
the last = character as the delimiter between name and value. The
script now uses the first = character as the delimiter.
IJ08574
Probes used to leak memory when re-reading rules files,
especially if the probe included the same rules file repeatedly
(such as in NcKL). This issue is now resolved.
IJ09115
On Windows, the last line of an external probe lookup table was
not read in by the probe. This issue is now fixed.
