APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error occurs when writing to SYSOUT in an incorrect function
  mode.
  
  a) Abend S0C4, RC=3B on NAME=UNKNOWN or
  AbendU0012 on NAME=GGC#MAIN and job output shows,
  GGC2802I The writer service returned an error, RC=X'0C4000'.
  
  b) AbendS0C4 RC=10 on NAME=UNKNOWN or
  Abend S0C4 RC=4 on GGC#LGAP or
  Abend S0C4 on NAME=GGC#MAIN  and job output shows,
  GGC2068I  The XML sequence number update process failed.
  GGC1045I  An error occurred within the log apply program.
  
  (a) happens on any job and (b) happens only on OBIDXLAT(of XML)
  

Local fix

• As a workaround to this issue, the customer can change SYSOUT to
  point to a dataset instead of SYSOUT=*.
