Error description
After calling WOLA Register (BBOA1REG), Invoke (BBOA1INV), and Unregister (BBOA1URG) many thousands of times in a single job, RC12 RSN24 occurs during the BBOA1REG call due to the exhaustion of the number of permitted cell pool extents used for WOLA connection handles.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0 Fix Pack 7.0.0.12 and using * * Optimized Local Adapters (WOLA) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Each time a WOLA Register occurs * * some connection-level memory is * * allocated but some is not being freed * * during Unregister. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Local communications control block (LSCB) is being leaked each time a Register call is made. This is because one of the local comm cleanup APIs was not being called. Also, a 32 byte byte security storage area was leaking over the Register call.
Problem conclusion
The code leaking the LSCB and the security storage area is corrected to ensure these areas are cleaned up during the Unregister process. APAR PM19155 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.13 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0. Please refer to URL: //www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=404&uid=swg27006970 for Fix Pack availability.
