ERROR DESCRIPTION:?
A java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError is thrown from a wsadmin task invoked from within ant, for example:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
javax.annotation.sql.DataSourceDefinition
LOCAL FIX:?
PROBLEM SUMMARY:?
USERS AFFECTED:
All users of the IBM WebSphere Application Server ws_ant program on iSeries operating systems
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An incorrect java.endorsed.dirs property set in the ws_ant process on iSeries can cause a ClassNotFoundException.
RECOMMENDATION:
None
The java.endorsed.dirs property is not correctly set for the the ws_ant process. It is missing endorsed_apis. This may cause ClassNotFound exceptions to be thrown by ant tasks which
use classes found in the endorsed_apis directory. For example, classes with a package name starting with 'javax.annotation'.
PROBLEM CONCLUSION:?
Fixed the ws_ant launcher so that the java.endorsed.dirs property is correct.
