IBM Support

EntityDeployer does not work with dbname provided in customer_overrides.properties

Troubleshooting

Problem

Attempts to run entitydeployer.sh/cmd does not connect to the DB provided in customer_overrides.properties in IBM Sterling Order Management.

Cause

DB name in customer_overrides.properties and sandbox.cfg is not in sync.

Diagnosing The Problem

Running the entitydeployer results in product thinking none of the DB tables, views and Indexes exist and the DB objects are being recreated. And during recreate they error out saying DB object exists.

Resolving The Problem

Dbname override was originally provided to enable application to connect to a different database during deployment. For tooling like dbverify, the dbname in sandbox.cfg and customer_overrides.properties has to be in sync.
