Problem
Attempt to access Cognos Analytics via SSO displays a 500.21 error
Cause
In IIS Manager, the ISAPI module is missing under sso -> Handler Mappings.
Resolving The Problem
Steps:
1. Open Server Manager.
2. Click on the ‘Add roles and features’ option.
3. Choose the ‘Role-based or feature-based installation’ option.
4. Click on ‘Next’ till you reach the ‘Roles’ window.
5. In the ‘Roles’ window, expand the ‘Web Server(IIS)’ -> ‘Application Development (installed)’ options.
6. Select the ‘ISAPI extensions’ and ‘ISAPI filters’ checkboxes.
7. Complete the wizard.
8. Restart IIS Manager.
