APAR status

Error description

  • LIU Integrity Checker loads DFSVC000 module multiply when it
    runs in th HPIC or Rerog Expert job.
      If the load process are performed in mutiliple tasks at the
    same or closely time, the following messages and ABENDA06 can
    occur.
      This problem occur when
       CSV000I REQUESTED MODULE DFSVC000 IS USED RECURSIVELY
       CSV028I ABENDA06-04  JOBNAME=xxxxxxx  STEPNAME=xxxxxxxx

    When running following jobs with STEPLIB DD which concatenates
    library of IMS Library Integrity Utilities and DBRC=Y specified,
    Integrity Checker attempts to load the IMS module(DFSVC000) to
    refer the IMS version and the load process around the same time
    gets ABENDA06 whether Integrity Checker is set up to use or not.
    - IMS High Performance Pointer Checker
    - IMS High Performance Image Copy
    - IMS Database Reorganization Expert
    - IMS Index Builder
    

Problem conclusion

  • The following modules and macro have been modified:
    
    FABLIAPI,FABLRTS0,FABLIMSM,FABLWMT
    
    After this fix applied, the IMS module(DFSVC000) is not loaded
    by Integrity Checker when running following jobs:
    
    - IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for z/OS Version 3
      Release 1 (FMID=HPC2310),
    - IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4 Release 2
      (FMID=H1J0420)
    - IMS Database Reorganization Expert for z/OS Version 4 Release
      1 (FMID=H25N410)
    - IMS Index Builder for z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=H22O310)
    
    Additionally, you need apply following APARs:
    
    - PM49878 for IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for z/OS
      Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=HPC2310)
    - PM47967 for IMS High Performance Image Copy for z/OS Version 4

    Explanation: The process failed in the z/OS MVS Name/Token
    Service. service shows the service name. rc shows the return
    code of the Name/Token service.
    
    System Action: The batch job ends abnormally.
    
    User Respose: Find the cause of the error. For the explanation
    of the return code, see z/OS MVS Programming Assembler Services
    Reference, Volume 2 (IARR2V-XCTLX). If necessary, correct the
    error and rerun the job.

    FABL3902E GETMAIN FAILED FOR SIZE=size RC=rc
    
    Explanation: The GETMAIN macro for storage (size=size) failed.
    The return code is rc.
    
    System Action: The batch job ends abnormally.
    
    User Respose: Identify the cause of the GETMAIN error by
    referring to MVS Assembler Service Reference, Volume 1
    (ABE-HSP). If the region size specified by the REGION parameter
    for the JOB or EXEC statement is not large enough, increase the
    size, and rerun the job.
