Question & Answer
Question
You have the Guardium Installation Manager (GIM) installed on a UNIX database host and reporting to a specific IBM Security Guardium server. You need to point GIM to a new/different Guardium server. Can you do this without reinstalling GIM?
Answer
Yes. Log into the database host as root and find the GIM install directory by running "ps -ef |grep -i gim".
1. Run <install dir>/modules/UTILS/current/files/bin/configurator.sh - get GIM'
2. Examine the value of GIM_URL.
3. To change this value, run <install dir>/modules/UTILS/current/files/bin/configurator.sh -set GIM_URL
4. Restart the gim_client.pl process (just kill it, it restarts automatically)
