Problem

IBM Rhapsody installation aborts with error "RhpTcSEAddInWrpr.dll Failed to Register"

Symptom

Cause

Rhapsody 32Bit installer used on 64bit Windows operating system.

The RhpTcSEAddInWrpr.dll is for the Team Center addin. This is not supported on 64bit Windows operating system, so it was removed from the Rhapsody 64bit installer.

If you use the Rhapsody 32bit installer on a 64bit operating system, it will fail due to this incompatibility

Resolving The Problem

Use only the 64bit Rhapsody installer when installing Rhapsody on a 64bit Windows operating system.

Note that the Team Center addin was removed from Rhapsody 8.2.1 and higher.
