A report throws the error below when it's run for a
specific time frame

Troubleshooting


Problem

For example, if the report is run for June 23rd - Oct1, it will give an error. However, if the time frame get increased and include that time frame the report runs without error.

Cause

Since the issue only happens after choosing a specific company in a prompt, SQL paremeter should be set to "literal"

Resolving The Problem

Here are the instructions to set the SQL Paremeter to literal :

If you want to change all the reports from the same package:
- In Framework Manager, set the SQL Parameter Syntax governor to
Literal to globally affect all reports based on the package.
- The setting is found under the Project menu > Edit Governors.

If you want to change just one specific report:
- In Report Studio, in the Query Explorer, select the query in
question and then change the Use SQL Parameter property in the
Properties pane to Literal.
