About hiding predefined stereotypes in the Rhapsody UI

Question & Answer

Question

Is it possible to hide predefined stereotypes in the Rhapsody UI? Can stereotypes such as Friend or Subsystem which are predefined in IBM Rational Rhapsody be hidden or removed from the UI?

Answer

It is not possible to hide or otherwise prevent users from using predefined types and stereotypes. It is also not possible to delete the references to PredefinedTypes, PredefinedTypesCpp, or others which are automatically added to models and contain these definitions
