*                 Extended Attribute Volume ( EAV ).           *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message IEC142I 113-44 may occur when   *
*                      running load modules ADBTEP2, ADBTEPX,  *
*                      ADBALT, ADBSR or GOC2CMP when data      *
*                      sets used by those modules reside on    *
*                      an EAV.                                 *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
Beginning with z/OS 1.12, additional data set types became
eligible for placement on extended attribute volumes.  To enable
the use of such data sets, DB2 Administration Tool is being
changed to allow data sets to be placed on extended attribute
volumes.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modules ADB2ATH, ADB2UTIL, ADBPDSU and ADBLOAD are modified to
include the EADSCB=OK parameter on the DCB macro to support
OPEN against the DCB for a data set on an EAV.
