Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a Subject is constructed by * * hashtable login, A downstream server * * might report SECJ0373E error. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** One of fields of WSCredential in Subject is AccessID, which consists of realm name and security name. In this error case, realm name was missing. As a result, a downstream server could not find proper user registry to validate an incoming Subject.
Problem conclusion
With this fix, realm name is being appended if given access ID doesn't contain realm name upon hashtable login. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.41, 7.0.0.21, 8.0.0.2.
