APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
If there are two or more -XDump options set where -Xdump:system:events is the same for these options, then only the 2nd option is propagated to *.jvm.options file. Ex. if you have the following specified in genericJVMArguments using admin console: -Xdump:heap:none -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jack -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill What ends up in the *.jvm.options file is: -Xdump:heap:none -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill The 2nd setting is overwritten by the 3rd because the code considers this setting a duplicate.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V6.1.0 and V8.0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: On z/OS only, unable to set multiple * * -Xdump:system:events options for debug * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The z/OS transformer code was keeping only the last similar option. If there are two or more -Xdump options set where -Xdump:system:events is the same for these options, then only the last option is propagated to *.jvm.options file. If you have the following specified in genericJVMArguments using admin console: -Xdump:heap:none -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jack -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill What ends up in the *.jvm.options file is: -Xdump:heap:none -Xdump:system:events=throw,filter=jill
