Which logging to enable when the Cognos Service will not start

Troubleshooting


Problem

User is unable to start Cognos Services, this logging will provide more details on the errors that are occurring

Resolving The Problem

Follow these steps...

1) Set the environment variable to com.ibm.bi.logging.glug.hint.isready=false

2) Start Cognos Analytics

This will log everything at a DEBUG level until the product starts. It will then switch to regular logging.
