• ABENDU0102 reason E2D90009 when the restart checkpoint id begins

  When a symbolic checkpoint begins with a blank, an automated PRF
  restart receives ABENDU0102 reason code E2D90009, checkpoint ID
  not found.
  PRF support highly recommends that customers not use symbolic
  checkpoints that begin with one or more blanks.  If PRF is
  disabled, IMS does not support supplying a restart checkpoint ID
  in JCL when the checkpoint ID begins with a blank.
  PRF will be updated to allow a symbolic checkpoint that has 1
  blank character in the beginning of the checkpoint ID.
  

Problem conclusion

• Customers should change applications that allow for symbolic
  checkpoint IDs that begin with a blank.  Until this has been
  done, this APAR may help customers with restart issues when
  checkpoint IDs have only one leading blank in the checkpoint ID.
