What are the EOQ, ROP, and ABC transdate reports used for

Question

In version 7.6 of Maximo 3 new reports for Inventory were introduced. These are inventory_rop_transdate.rptdesign inventory_abc_transdate.rptdesign inventory_eoq_transdate.rptdesign (Note: There are actually 3 complimentary reports for these as the "update" reports) How do these differ from the original versions of these reports?

Cause

In order for these reports to work with the new LIFO/FIFO functionality in Maximo 7.6 and make them more user friendly, date parameters were added to the designs. The request pages now include start and end dates to better filter the recordset.

Answer

Even though the originals are still provided with Maximo 7.6 we advise that they not be used and you only use the "transdate" versions. You may prefer to exclude the reports from all menus by either removing all security for them or set the "No request page?" flag to "true" so that they no longer appear in any Run Reports menu.

The output of these original reports cannot be guaranteed as accurate due to the new 7.6 functionality.
