Error description
'cleartool space -update' hangs on the Daylight Savings Time transition day ClearCase 7.1.2.x Solaris 10 x86 Problem as Investigated: On November 7th, 2010 at 2:00 A.M., Daylight Savings Time was over and the system clock was automatically turned back an hour. Thus, what was once 2:00 A.M. was now 1:00 A.M. As well, there had been a scheduled job within the ClearCase scheduler that prior day which was run at approximately 3:31 A.M. in the morning and finally completed at 3:31 P.M. on the very same day: The Daylight Savings Time was some twelve and one half hours later, the following day. On the Daylight Savings Time end and the time was adjusted: As observerd, the last 4 jobs that had been successfully completed from the Job that finished at 3:31 P.M. the prior day reran from that specific job from the ClearCase scheduler. On checking the scheduled jobs, the jobs indicate that they have completed running: However, the process list shows that the jobs were running. Workaround: None.
