PM36038: HPU ABEND CODE=EC6 REASON CODE=0F01C008 AND MSG OMVS SEGMENT NOT DEFINED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Although no use of OMVS resources (e.g. PATH options) is
  requested, the unload fails with
  
    ABEND CODE=EC6 REASON CODE=0F01C008
  
  and the following message is issued:
  
    ICH408I USER(... ) GROUP(...)
    CL(PROCESS )
    OMVS SEGMENT NOT DEFINED.
  
  There is no reason for HPU to try to access z/OS Unix when the
  PATH option is not used.  This fix will change code to not
  access z/OS UNIX if PATH option not specified.
