APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not include a
    SET CURRENT SQLID in the SQL included in a batch job created
    as a result of the PROMPT command and selecting option 3
    "Create a batch job with the statement" on panel ADB2PSTM
    "Statement Execution Prompt".
    

Local fix

  • Manually add the SET CURRENT SQLID statement.

    *                      another Auth-id with the DB2 Admin      *
    *                      Tool's Option 4 - Change current SQL    *
    *                      ID, then generate an SQL command, (for  *
    *                      example GRANT) and execute this SQL in  *
    *                      batch, the DB2 Admin Tool generates     *
    *                      the requested job but does not include  *
    *                      a 'SET CURRENT SQLID= xxx' as           *
    *                      expected.                               *

    GRANT statements generated from panels ADB2GD, ADB2GE, ADB2GF,
    ADB2GO, ADB2GQ, ADB2GS, AND ADB2GT are missing the 'SET
    CURRENT SQLID =xxx' statement when passing to panel ADB2PSTM
    'Statement Execution Prompt'.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Panels have been modified to add the 'SET CURRENT SQLID =xxx'
    statement to the specified logic to resolve this problem.
