Problem
In a Cognos 11.0.6 environment, when clicking New -> Report the reporting interface fails to load and throws a javascript error: TypeError:Cannot read property '_GHJ' of undefined at Object._XNJ._6XI (http://servername:9300/bi/pat/rsstartupblock_1.js:11:2324)
Cause
A firewall rule is preventing the browser from loading one of the javascript files from http://servername:9300/bi/pat/rsstartupblock_9.js
This is a false positive on a rule designed to detect a vulnerability in Oracle Java. Javascript cannot trigger this vulnerability.
Resolving The Problem
Disable the firewall rule blocking the transfer of rsstartupblock_9.js, or upgrade to Cognos Analytics 11.0.7
