Error description

  • The HPU for z/OS unload stops with completion code 8 and
    issues INZI174E after installing DB2 APAR PM23243.

DB2 APAR PM23243 changed the behavior of the setting of the MODE
in the DB2 command, DISPLAY GROUP, which HPU uses.

The change was result of PE of v10 compatability.
    - Prior to DB2 APAR PM23243, the DISPLAY GROUP would return
MODE(N) if the DB2's were in new function mode.
    - After PM23243, if there is any subsystem in the group that
is in a different version or mode, DISPLAY GROUP returns
      MODE(X).

The "DISPLAY GROUP (DB2)" information center topic online at:
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/dzichelp/v2r2/index.jsp
    ?topic=/com.ibm.db29.doc.comref/db2z_cmd_displaygroup.htm

    - X indicates coexistence mode. In this case, at least one
other member in the data sharing group has a different
release or performed fallback from a higher DB2 release.

To determine whether this fix is applicable, issue the
DB2 DISPLAY GROUP command from the INZTVAR specified user
    with VUM028/DISPLUSR.

    * If there is a problem, correct the problem.

    * If the report comes out and MODE is X, as in the following
sample, you will need this fix.

    -DISPLAY GROUP
    DSN7100I -DSB1 DSN7GCMD
    *** BEGIN DISPLAY OF GROUP(BJPEDB2G)
                                   CATALOG LEVEL(101) MODE(X )
                        PROTOCOL LEVEL(2) GROUP ATTACH NAME(DSB0)
