Troubleshooting
Problem
When attempting to install IBM Cognos Analytics components, the Install Anywhere installer fails with an error. There is at least 4GB of disk space available.
Symptom
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Diagnosing The Problem
The install also fails with...

Resolving The Problem
The machine only had 1GB of physical memory configured. Increasing it to 4GB resolved the issue
