Question
When following 'Configuring Cognos Analytics with Apache HTTP Server' it mentions using cognos.config files, these are normally found in the gateway_component_install_location/cgi-bin/templates folder but are missing, where can these files be found?
Cause
The gateway component of Cognos has not been installed.
Answer
Check that the Gateway has been installed by opening the cmplist.txt
In this file it should contain the lines
'GATEWAY_version=cognos install version'
'GATEWAY=Gateway'
If these lines are missing, the Gateway has not been successfully installed. Once the Gateway has been installed the files should appear in the 'templates' folder.
