PM28199: PANEL ADB21SA WILL NOT ACCEPT INPUT IF INVOKED VIA SP LINE COMMAND OF PANEL ADB21S

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS panel ADB21S provides SP
  line command. If using SP line command on a partitioned table
  space showing more than zero parts on panel ADB21S the next
  panel to display is ADB21SP. Using AL line command on panel
  ADB21SP leads to panel ADB21SA, which will not accept input.
  .
  For most input fields, such as Buffer Pool ( BP ),  panel
  ADB21SA issues error message:
    " Must be numeric "
  and re-positions the cursor to the field following descriptor:
    "Max Partitions "
  The Max Partitions field is empty, and write inhibited.
  

Local fix

• Use AL / RDEF from ADB21S panel.
