Question

How to disable “Reset prompts and run” option for some roles? For example - If there is a requirement to customize Report URL such that “Reset prompts and run” option should not be available to some roles, then how can it be done ?

Answer


Below steps should be performed :

1. Login to Cognos Analytics.
2. Click on Manage —> Accounts —> desired namespace.
3. Click on More option for the particular role and then Properties.
4. Go to Customization tab and then click Features.

5. Search for “Reset prompts and run” in the search field.
6. “Reset prompts and run” option then appears under Classic Viewer > Application Bar > Run as.

7. Uncheck it and click on Apply.
