Troubleshooting
Problem
When trying to add or test Data Server Connection, the following error message is generated: "DPR-ERR-2008 The dispatcher is unable to process the request. The request is directed to an unknown service name: http://www.ibm. com/xmlns/prod/cognos/queryService/201701/. Handler trace back: [the_dispatcher] com.cognos.pogo.handlers. performance.PerformanceIndicationHandler [the_dispatcher] com.cognos. pogo.handlers.logic.ChainHandler [service_lookup] com.cognos.pogo. handlers.engine.ServiceLookupHandler"
Cause
The 'Query service enabled' is set to false.
Resolving The Problem
In the Cognos configuration window under ‘IBM Cognos Services’ there should be an option for ‘Query service Enabled?’
Set this to true and restart your Cognos configuration.
