Error description
ABEND0C4-04 in DSNXAAPC+1D66 OFFSET1D66 or 1D96 during package authorization cache expansion. A fallout abend could be ABEND04E RC00E70005 in DSNXAAPC at P120. Possible abends are also in v8. ABEND0C4-04 IN DSNXAAPC + 1D96 ABND04E RC00E20028 DSNSVSTK+0304 During package authorization cache expansion, the authority control exit was seen to be installed, but it was not installed into DB2 at startup processing like it should be. During package authorization cache expansion, the length of the cache as used when an authority control exit exists was used to clear out the old cache. However, these two lengths are not the same and DB2 ended up overwriting storage that was not part of the package authorization cache, and subsequently abended. Keywords: SMCOVERLAY. This error applies to DB2 V8 also.
Local fix
Ensure your Authority Control Exit is up to date and follows the documented API. If your exit has not been updated since you applied PK92315, then this exit needs to be updated to avoid this abend. See OEM info APAR II14490 for details.

ABEND0C4-04 in DSNXAANC+27AC V8: ABEND0C4-04 IN DSNXAAPC + 1D96 ABND04E RC00E20028 DSNSVSTK+0304 The access control authorization exit was not installed as documented, leading DB2 to build a smaller package and routine authorization cache at DB2 startup. During cache refresh, DB2 detected the access control authorization exit was installed and used an incorrect size for cache refresh, leading to the abends.
Problem conclusion
DB2 code has been fixed to use the correct length during package authorization cache and routine authorization cache refresh.
