Troubleshooting
Problem
IBM Rational ClearQuest Eclipse Client crashes on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.8 or above during start-up.
Symptom
When starting the IBM Rational ClearQuest Eclipse Client on RHEL 6.8 or above, the client will crash.
Cause
Required 32bit GTK libraries are not installed on RHEL 6.8 or above.
Resolving The Problem
Add the following lines to the location_installation/clearquest/rcp/clearquest.ini file:
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.disablePrinting
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.useCairo=false
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.cairoGraphics=false
Usually the default value for location_installation will be /opt/ibm/RationalSDLC/.
-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.disablePrinting

-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.cairoGraphics=false
