Problem

snif_stderr.txt log file shows this message: EXCEPTION from parse EXCEPTION from parse EXCEPTION from parse <<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>

Cause

Packet length has been exceeded.

Resolving The Problem

The default setting for the CLI is 32k. You can increase this number by using the CLI command 'store max_sql_size' where size is between 1 and 512.

It is important to check the volume of traffic and sniffer restarts. If the appliance is overwhelmed, the solution above might not help.
