Why is the latest maintenance renewal not booked in the Rational License Key Centre?
The license model has changed to a version based license model.
This affects all former Telelogic products only.
The license model was changed in May 2016.
Up until then former Telelogic products used a date-based license system.
Maintenance was booked in the Rational License Key Centre (RLKC) and you needed to generate the maintenance if you wanted to upgrade to a new version that was released after you generated the last license file.
Since May of 2016 we adapted the version based license model which is widely used with other IBM and indeed other IBM Rational products.
With this model maintenance no longer flows into the RLKC.
In the future you only need to regenerate a key when there are changes to the server / machine the license is hosted on.
If you still have a license file that was generated before May 2016 please return your license and generate a new license using the latest version on offer in the RLKC. There is no need to also generate the S&S renewal part.
