Error description
This APAR provides the following new functionalities: 1) FPA, FPO and FP stand-alone DB Sensor support wildcard or range specification for IAREA/OAREA/AREA keywords. This enhancement is being implemented as a result of FITS requirement MR052212236 and MR061412676. 2) FPA and FP stand-alone DB Sensor include timestamp with messages. This enhancement is being implemented as a result of FITS requirement MR0523122623.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of Fast Path Solution Pack * * Version 1 Release 2 (FMID: HAHQ120) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: New functions for FPSP V1.2: * * 1. FPA, FPO and FP stand-alone DB * * sensor support wildcard or range * * specification for IAREA/OAREA/AREA * * keywords. * * 2. FPA and FP Stand-alone DB Sensor * * include timestamp with messages. * * 3. FPA INDEXBLD outputs total segments * * to include loaded plus suppressed * * segments in the Secondary Index * * Processing report. * * Forward Fit APAR of HFPU V3.2 PK87793: * * 4. FPA RELOAD, CHANGE and REORG abended * * or hung when multiple areas were * * processed. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** 1. IAREA/OAREA/AREA keywords supports wildcard or range specification. 1-1. Wildcard are the asterisk(*) and the percent(%) symbol. An asterisk(*) represents from 0 to 8 character, whereas a percent(%) symbol represents a sigle character. For example, AREA=area% matches area1, area2 and so on; AREA=area* matches area, area1, area1234, and so on. 1-2. Range can be the range of area numbers, or the range of area names. For example, AREA=(1-5) means the areas from area number 1 to area number 5; AREA=(AREA1-AREA5) means the areas from AREA1 to AREA5, interpreted in alphabetical order. This enhancement is being implemented as a result of FITS requirement MR052212236 and MR061412676. 2. A new keyword MSTIMESTAMP=NO|LOCAL has been added to the GLOBAL command for FPA and FP Stand-alone DB Sensor. When MSTIMESTAMP=LOCAL, a local timestamp is included in the messages. This enhancement is being implemented as a result of FITS requirement MR0523122623. 3. FPA INDEXBLD command outputs total segments to include loaded plus suppressed segments in the Secondary Index Processing report. This enhancement is being implemented as a result of FITS requirement MR0523123541. 4. This APAR also addressed the following problems: 4-1. FPA RELOAD received ABENDU3205 when all following conditions are satisfied: - Multiple areas of a DEDB are reloaded from multiple input USR data sets. - The area number of areas specified in the IAREA keyword is not in ascending order. 4-2. FPA CHANGE received ABENDU3205 when all following conditions are satisfied: - Multiple areas of a DEDB are reloaded from multiple input ADSs. - The area number of areas specified in the IAREA keyword is not in ascending order. - The process is the REORG mode. 4-3. FPA REORG hung all following conditions are satisfied: - Multiple areas of a DEDB are reorganized. - The area number of areas specified in the IAREA keyword is not in ascending order. In addition to these conditions, if ITASKCTL=1 and OTASKCTL=1 are specified, this problem absolutely occurs. Even if ITASKCTL=1 and OTASKCTL=1 are not specified, this problem can occur depending on specification in the IAREA keyword.
