Error description
Allocation failure for file to dataset transfer using WMQFTE for z/OS if agent property bpxwdynAllocAdditionalOptions is used to set dataset attributes in addition to attributes specified in the -ds option of the FTE transfer command. Symptom string: BFGIO0023E: Failed to allocate DDName for data set. Allocate command used: ""ALLOC FI(####) DSN(###) NEW REUSE CATALOG CYL SPACE(500,500) RECFM(F,B) BLKSIZE(0) LRECL(80) DSORG(PS) RECFM(U) BLKSIZE(0)" reason: bpxwdyn failed failed RC=-333 (0xfffffeb3) additional reason code : bpxwdyn failed RC=-334 (0xfffffeb2).
Local fix
specify all dataset attributes in the -ds transfer option
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition Version 7 using the bpxwdynAllocAdditionalOptions agent property. Platforms affected: z/OS **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: The bpxwdynAllocAdditionalOptions agent property allows a default set of BPXWDYN options to be supplied which will be used when Datasets are created. The -ds option can be used on the fteCreateTransfer command to set explicit values for BPXWDYN options for a specific transfer. These two sets of BPXWDYN options would simply be appended rather than merged, which can lead to situations where specific BPXWDYN options are specified multiple times. If this happens the command will be rejected and the transfer will fail.
Problem conclusion
The code has been altered to merge the two sets of BPXWDYN options. Those options specified in bpxwdynAllocAdditionalOptions will be used as the default set of options. Should further options be added via the -ds option, they will be appended to the BPXWDYN request. Should the same BPXWDYN option be specified in both bpxwdynAllocAdditionalOptions and the -ds option, the -ds option will take precedence. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Platform v7.0 -------- -------------------- Multiplatforms 7.0.4.3 Platform v7.5 -------- -------------------- Multiplatforms 7.5.0.1 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
