Troubleshooting
Problem
When right clicking and selecting a drill down report in v10 Guardium, the drill down report unexpectedly has no results. When viewing the drill down report directly, not via drill down path, it has results.
Cause
The number of columns displayed in the GUI for the report must match the total number of columns possible for that report, otherwise drill down from it will not work.
At the time of writing this is true in Guardium v10 up to GPU p200. There is a plan to allow drill down to work no matter how many columns are displayed. Please check the release notes in more recent GPUs to check if this change is included.
Diagnosing The Problem
1. Check the number of columns displayed on the report where you are doing drill down from. This can be done from the 'Column Configuration' screen. For example in the Aggregation/Archive Log:
If not all columns are selected, drill down from this report will not work.
2. To check the exact underlying error, run support must_gather app_issues (or 'User Interface' option from GUI must gather page). While the debugger is running, try and open the drilldown report.
In the resulting mustgather file, inside <date>-debug.log file an error like the below will appear:

With the index size matching the number of selected columns.
If the drill down report gets no results and the above error is not found, then this technote does not apply.
Resolving The Problem
From the Column Configuration page on the report, select all the columns for the report. Then run drill down report again.
