"Cannot create container for service admintool:
Invalid bind mount spec" error while starting admintool

Troubleshooting


Problem

Installing Planning Analytics 2.0 on windows. All prerequisites ok. Starting vm and starting admintool. A browser opens and says the page cannot be displayed

Symptom

In the up.log file, you get the error:
ERROR: for admintool Cannot create container for service admintool:
Invalid bind mount spec "D:\\paw\\licenses:/opt/admintool/licenses/: rw": Invalid volume specification: 'D:\paw\licenses: /opt/admintool/licenses/:rw'
Encountered errors while bringing up the project.

Cause

Verify what version of docker-compose you have on your system.
Docker Toolbox 1.12.4 has this issue because it now includes Docker Compose 1.9.0.
You can not reproduce this issue with docker 1.12.3

Resolving The Problem

Edit Start.bat and add this line:
SET COMPOSE_CONVERT_WINDOWS_PATHS=1
