I can't see any SQL in "Full Sql" column in my report.

Question

I've made a report based on Main Entity "FULL SQL". I've picked the Attribute "Full Sql" from Entity "FULL SQL". I cant's see any SQL in "Full Sql" in my report. I've tried many things like taking away all conditions, and even all other fields in the report. I can see that a lot of traffic is being logged. What could be causing this problem?

Answer

Check if your Guardium policy log full details. Only if Guardium do log full details it will populate the entity "FULL SQL".

If you don't log full details then you can make a query on Main Entity "SQL" and pick Attribute "Sql" from entity "SQL". This query should show SQL.

If you're not the administator, the admin user, of the Guardium then please ask your admin if the Guardium policy "log full details".

If you're the admin user.

1)
Login as admin user to the GUI(The Guardium application in a webbrowser).
If you have a Central Manager (CM) then login to the CM, if it's a standalone appliance then login to your appliance you use the report on.

For version 10, 10.1 go to "Protect" - "Security Policies" - "View Installed Policy" and you can see what policy you have. After that go to "Protect" - "Security Policies" - "Policy Builder for Data" and click on your policy in the list and then press "Edit Rules"

For version v9, and v8.2, go to "Administration Console" - "Configuration" - "Policy Installation" and click on "Edit Installed Policy" and then press "Edit Rules"

Click on the pen of each rules, and then check if any rule got an action of "LOG FULL DETAILS", or similar action with same three words in it.
