Problem conclusion
Problem has been resolved. The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS version 10.1 provides an Enhanced query and Singular query for view navigation on panel ADB21 'System Catalog'. The default query type is 'E-Enhanced' query, which provides more information for views than the 'S-Singular' query. For performance reasons there are two interfaces to change the query type value for views. One interface is from the pop-up panel ADB2VWCF 'VIEW TYPE CONFIGURATION' after entering option '1 - DB2 system catalog' on panel ADB2 'DB2 Administration Menu', then entering option 'V - Views' on panel ADB21 'System Catalog'. The other interface is if the current setting of 'Reset to Def. at Startup' is YES on panel ADB2P2 before you exit DB2 Admin, the query type for views will be changed to 'Enhanced' upon re-entering the DB2 Admin Tool. The ADB2VWCF panel will pop up until you choose a query type for views on panel ADB2VWCF. If the current setting of 'Reset to Def. at Startup' is NO on panel ADB2P2 before you exit DB2 Admin, which indicates you do not want to change the default setting for DB2 Admin, ADB2VWCF panel will not pop up upon re-entering DB2 Admin. For this situation, if you want to change the value of view's query type, you can change the value of 'Query type for views ' on panel ADB2P2.
