    ****************************************************************
When running the DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS, the Batch
Restart program ADBTEP2 with the parameter BINDERROR(MAXE,
SAVE, IGNORE) specified in the PARMS field of the DB2 RUN
PROGRAM statement, the job fails with the error message
    MSGADB5007E.

The BINDERROR parameter has been moved to DD ADBTEPIN as a
parameter but the documentation still says it is supported in
the PARMS field of the DB2 RUN PROGRAM statement.

Problem conclusion

  • The program has been modified to support parameter
BINDERROR(MAXE, SAVE, IGNORE) specified in the
PARMS field of the DB2 RUN PROGRAM statement for ADBTEP2
so that previously built jobs may continue to work.

Warning message ADB5257W will be issued if specifying
BINDERROR(MAXE, SAVE, IGNORE) in the PARMS field of the
DB2 RUN PROGRAM statement for ADBTEP2:

    ADB5257W The parameter >parameter_name< is
provided which has been moved to
DD ADBTEPIN and will be deprecated
in the PARMS field of the DB2 RUN
                   PROGRAM statement.

Explanation: The parameter need to be specified
under the DD ADBTEPIN for ADBTEP2.
    System action: Processing continues.
User response: Specify the parameter under the DD
                   ADBTEPIN.

In the DB2 Administration Tool User's Guide Version 10.1
Chapter 15 'Using the Batch Restart programs:
ADBTEP2 and ADBTEPA', Section 'Parameters passed to ADBTEP2',
the following needs to be updated to state that BINDERROR(MAXE,
SAVE, IGNORE) has been moved to DD ADBTEPIN as a parameter for
    ADBTEP2:

    (1) The following sentence need to be changed to state the
parameters are passed to ADBTEP2 in the PARMS field of the
    DB2 RUN PROGRAM statement.

    Before:
The following parameters are generated automatically and are
    passed to ADBTEP2:

    After:
The following parameters are generated automatically and
are passed to ADBTEP2 in the PARMS field of the DB2 RUN
    PROGRAM statement.

    (2) Add the following sentence to introduce the parameters
which are passed to ADBTEP2 under the DD name of ADBTEPIN
after the description of parameter SSID(name).

    Add:
The following parameters are generated automatically and are
passed to ADBTEP2 in a data set with a DD name of ADBTEPIN.

    (3) Move the description of parameter BINDERROR(MAXE, SAVE,
IGNORE) from the position after the sentence mentioned in
    (1) to the one after the sentence mentioned in (2).
