Opening DOORS URL in web browser fails with page cannot be found error

Troubleshooting


Problem

Opening IBM Rational DOORS URL in Web browser results in "Page cannot be found" error.

Symptom

The address in the browser is changed to URL like:
http://<server>:8080/doors/redirector/?urn=urn:rational::1-54ec091e694e28c7-P-00003180

Cause

The redirector.properties file may have invalid entry.

Diagnosing The Problem

Open the \server\festival\config\doorsRedirector.properties file.
Check if there are multiple comment lines.

Resolving The Problem

There should be only one comment line like below in the \server\festival\config\doorsRedirector.properties:

<comment>Configuration written: Wed Jan 11 17:11:13 EST 2017</comment>

Delete other comment lines in the \server\festival\config\doorsRedirector.properties file. For example:



<comment><entry key="dwa.url.prefix">http://<server>:8080/dwa/</entry></comment>

The dwa.url.prefix property is not required in DOORS Web Access 9.6.
