Error description
On Windows 7 OLE's are displayed as icons and static metafiles cannot be activated. On Windows XP, the same OLEs working fine. Workaround: Copy the OLE (on a XP machine) and paste into MS Word, Then copy the OLE from MS Word back into the DOORS module and the OLE appears correctly on a Windows 7 machine. This is a particular issue with baselines, as the workaround cannot be applied to baselines.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This behavior was introduced in 9.3.0.6 to address DOORS client crash while rendering corrupted DIBs. That time we didn't had sufficient data to narrow down reason hence iconified all the static DIBs under Windows 7
Problem conclusion
We have fixed this, only corrupted DIBs (having incorrect bitmap header which cannot be rendered under Windows 7) will be displayed as icon, otherwise all the valid DIBs will be rendered same as Windows XP.
