  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users receive TBSORT error if a value   *
  *                      of the column they want to sort is      *
  *                      larger than 2**31-1.                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The ISPF TBSORT service does not allow numeric sort on values
  larger than 2**31-1.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved. If large numeric values are used the
  column will be sorted as a character field.
