Question & Answer
Question
What kind of operations are reported by a table snapshot command when the table monitor switch is turned off?
Answer
Table snapshot command (get snapshot for tables on dbname) will report all the table operations EXCEPT for a rows_read even if the table switch is off i.e select requires table monitor switch to be turned on, however the insert, update, delete operations doesn't need the table monitor switch to be enabled. So, with table monitor switch enabled, when you run a select on a table, the snapshot command will list the table and its details whereas the table is not listed when the table monitor switch is turned off.
Reference:
rows_read - Rows read monitor element

rows_written doesn't require the table switch to be turned on. Notice Monitor Switch is Basic.
