Error description
The IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer (CTE) and the IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) incorrectly sorts the date column in the 'Show Change Set' panel for some locales. The locales impacted will have a Windows 'Long Date' format set on the client machine of yyyy-MM-d or a similar variation. In these scenarios, ClearTeam Explorer / ClearCase Remote Client will incorrectly sort by day before sorting by month. A partial listing of locales affected are as follows: Albanian Assamese (India) Chinese (any) Japanese Korean Sinhala Yi As an example, a changeset consisting of two versions -- one with a date of January 11 2011, and another with a date of February 09 2011, will sort in the following ascending (oldest to newest) order in a English (United States) locale: ----- file1.txt January 11, 2011 file2.txt February 09, 2011 ----- In contrast, with a Chinese locale, the following ascending order will be displayed: ----- file2.txt 2011 02 09 file1.txt 2011 01 11 ----- Steps to reproduce the issue: 1) Identify an existing changeset containing at least two versions where swapping the month value with the day value would result in an incorrect sort, as described in the previous example. 2) In the Windows control panel, open the 'Region and Language' applet. Set the 'Format' field to 'Chinese (PRC)' and hit Apply. 3) Launch ClearTeam Explorer. 4) Expand ClearCase ? Project VOBs ? [pvob-name] ? Projects ? [project-name] ? [stream-name] ? Activities. 5) Right-click the activity containing the relevant changesets and select 'Show Change Set'. 6) Click the 'Created' column headline to display the up arrow (ascending order). 7) Observe the incorrectly displayed order of the changesets. Workarounds: None.
