Error description
Static DIB OLE objects show as icon rather than as an embedded OLE. This is only the case with DOORS 9.3.0.6 AND Windows 7. - In DOORS 9.3.0.5 and Windows 7 the static DIB displays fine (not as an icon) - In DOORS 9.3.0.6 and Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server, the static DIB displays fine (not as an icon).

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This behavior was introduced in 9.3.0.6 to address a DOORS client crash while rendering corrupted DIBs under Windows 7. That time we didn't have sufficient data to narrow down the specific reason hence all the static DIBs were iconified under Windows 7
Problem conclusion
We have fixed this at DOORS client side. Now only corrupted DIBs (having incorrect bitmap header which cannot be rendered under Windows 7) will be displayed as icon. Otherwise all the valid DIBs will be rendered the same as Windows XP.
