Question

How do you include custom tables and Hang-Off tables in the 'TruncateTransactionTables.sql' script in IBM Sterling Order Management?

Cause

Using generate a script to remove transaction data as per product documentation generates the output sql script i.e. TruncateTransactionTables.sql but it does not include custom Tables or Hang-Off tables.

Answer

This utility is an old utility, and it is being carried forward from Legacy Systems. It considers only <Sterling_INSTALL_DIR>\repository\entity folder while reading the entity definitions.


To include custom tables and hang-off tables, place the custom entity definitions in <Sterling_INSTALL_DIR>\repository\entity\extensions folder.

NOTE: Only custom tables and hang-off tables defined as transaction tables (i.e. EntityType="TRANSACTION" is mentioned in their entity definition) will be included in output script.
